Triumph in Pennsylvania Over Unfair Exhaust Noise Bill

Earlier this year, our community expressed concern and pushed back against a bill that would have outlawed installing, modifying, and selling muffler and exhaust systems that increase a vehicle's noise.

Your right to personalize the sound of your ride was in danger, but SAN members came to the rescue.

Following opposition by residents, this legislation stalled and was tabled when the legislature adjourned for the year, knowing we were ready to activate.

While SEMA educated lawmakers and voters throughout the state to defeat it this year, this isn’t dead and anti-auto lawmakers may try introducing it again in 2025.

SIGN THE PETITION

We’ve got momentum on our side now. Like other states, Pennsylvania must implement a fair testing procedure and reasonable decibel limit for vehicle owners accused of exhaust noise violations, protecting auto owners from unpredictable systems prone to error. With your help, we will continue offering a solution that sets a clear standard and has a proven record of success.

We need your help to stop an unfair proposal from returning. Will you sign our petition to keep this effort closed?

Thanks for all your work,
