You may use the following points in your message:
- Banning the sale of internal combustion engines will remove competition from existing, proven technologies, which will mean higher costs for electric vehicles for New Jersey families.
- The government should allow the market to continue to innovate all forms of technology that significantly reduce vehicle emissions, not just battery electric vehicles.
- The automotive industry is embracing new technology to make vehicles cleaner and more efficient, which includes hydrogen, new synthetic fuels, alternative fuels, and improvements to the internal combustion engine.
- New Jersey families should be free to decide what is best for them, independent of energy policies made elsewhere.
