Overview: Utah has introduced SAN-supported legislation (S.B. 77) to exempt military vehicles from the requirement to display a license plate. To qualify, the license plate would have to be carried inside the vehicle and ready for inspection by law enforcement upon request. Currently, all vehicles must always display two license plates. This bill passed the Senate Transportation, Public Utilities, Energy, and Technology Committee and awaits consideration by the full Senate.
