North Dakota Legislature Adjourns
SAN-supported pro-hobby bills introduced in North Dakota in 2021 failed to pass both houses of the legislature prior to the adjournment of the session.
- Legislation (H.B. 1482) to lower the age requirement for a vehicle to be registered as antique from at least 40 years old to at least 35 years old. It would also lower the age requirement for a vehicle to be registered as a collector’s vehicle from at least 25 years old to at least 20 years old.
- Legislation (H.B. 1399) to allow a ‘collector’s title’ to be issued to an owner of a rebuilt, reconstructed, salvaged, antique, or vintage motor vehicle without a certificate of inspection. This title would not allow the vehicle to be operated on roadways.
Thank you to everyone who voiced support for these bills.
