Province of British Columbia Proclaims July 2020 as “Automotive Heritage Month”

Thanks to the efforts of the National Association of Automobile Clubs of Canada (NAACC) and the Specialty Vehicle Association of British Columbia (SVABC), the province of British Columbia is once again declaring the month of July as “Automotive Heritage Month.”  The province also proclaimed “Collector Car Appreciation Days” (CCAD) on July 10-11, 2020.  British Columbia joins several other provinces that have officially recognized the celebration.

Earlier this year, the U.S. Congress introduced two resolutions recognizing “Collector Car Appreciation Day” on Friday, July 10, at the request of the SEMA Action Network (SAN).  Each Congressional resolution acknowledges the day’s significance in raising awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.  The date marked the 11th commemoration of what has become an annual event.

Special thanks to the thousands of enthusiasts that gathered at car cruises, parades and other events to celebrate our automotive heritage.  By taking part in events across North America, these automotive enthusiasts and related businesses have ensured that their passion was honored and recognized.
