It’s often been said that communication—the human connection—is the key to success.  Thankfully for those in the Golden State, John Sweeney believes in advancing the SEMA Action Network’s (SAN) cause.  He is humbly self-described as a “Publisher-in-Training, Old Car Nut, & Caretaker of the Reno-Sacramento Swap Meet.”  However, John is far from inexperienced at publishing: Cruisin' News has been a staple of information exchange about our hobby for a quarter century!  When a legislative issue will impact the car and truck communities in northern and central California, the publication’s following is alerted.  Case in point: a recent exhaust noise law has caused significant concern and misinformation throughout the state.  To help clarify the matter, details from the SAN’s “Fact vs. Fiction” webpage were included in the latest edition (February 2019).

By way of background, Cruisin' News was established as a print publication in 1993.  While still available on newsstands, the publication continues to expand online through a website and social media.  The Folsom-based operation remains focused on its mission of “serving the owners of Classic Cars & Trucks, Vintage Cars & Trucks, Street Rods, Customs and Motorcycles by promoting events and assisting in the sale of parts and vehicles.”  Car and cycle shows, swap meets, cruise nights and other vehicle-related events are listed in the Cruisin’ Calendar without charge.

Special thanks to John and the staff for tapping the reach of Cruisin' News in support of the hobby’s legislative voice!
