Minnesota Introduces Bills to Allow Single Plate on Special Interest Vehicles

- S.F. 2694/H.F. 1817 would save money, conserve resources and bring special interest vehicles in line with similar license plates such as Pioneer, Classic Car, Collector, and Street Rod, which have already received an exemption from the state’s two plate requirement.
- S.F. 2694/H.F. 1817 would protect the aesthetic contours of cars and relieve vehicle owners of the burden of having to create mounting holes on some original bumpers.
- In Minnesota, special interest vehicles are defined as those owned for leisure purposes, driven less than 10,000 miles per year, and are not used for general transportation.
