You may use the following points in your message:
- H.B. 207 would save money, conserve resources and bring Utah in line with other states that have moved to a single plate requirement.
- H.B. 207 would protect the aesthetic contours of cars and relieve vehicle owners of the burden of having to create mounting holes on some original bumpers.
Overview: Legislation (H.B. 207) has been introduced in the Utah House of Representatives to require the issuance of only a single, rear-mounted license plate for all motor vehicles. Under current law vehicles must display two license plates. The bill has passed the House and now awaits consideration in the Senate Transportation Public Utilities, Energy, and Technology Committee.
