You may use the following points in your message:
- H.B. 207 would save money, conserve resources and bring Utah in line with other states that have moved to a single plate requirement.
- H.B. 207 would protect the aesthetic contours of cars and relieve vehicle owners of the burden of having to create mounting holes on some original bumpers.
Overview: Legislation (H.B. 207) has been introduced in the Utah House of Representatives to require the issuance of only a single, rear-mounted license plate for all motor vehicles. Under current law vehicles must display two license plates. The bill has passed the House Transportation Committee and now awaits a vote on the House Floor.
