Idaho Bill to Increase Registration Fees Signed Into Law

Legislation (H.B. 312) that once threatened to increase annual motor vehicle registration fees by $25 was signed into law by Governor Butch Otter.  Under the new law, registration fees for vehicles of all types and ages will be increased by $21.

• Under H.B. 312, the following rate increases will apply:
  
  Vehicles one (1) and two (2) years old .....................  $48 69.00
  Vehicles three (3) and four (4) years old ................... $36 57.00
  Vehicles five (5) and six (6) years old .....................   $36 57.00
  Vehicles seven (7) and eight (8) years old ..................$24 45.00
  Vehicles over eight (8) years old ........................        $24 45.00
