UPDATE: Iowa Bill to Allow for Window Tinting Passes Senate; Moves to House
DON’T DELAY! Please contact the House Transportation Committee to request their support for S.F. 2037:
- S.F. 2037 allows for window tinting as long as it meets the minimum standard of thirty-five percent light transmittance.
- S.F. 2037 eliminates the vague statute “excessively dark or reflective” in favor of a clear technical window-tinting standard.
Overview: S.F. 2037 allows for window tinting as long as it meets the minimum standard of thirty-five percent light transmittance. SEMA supports advancement of the industry standard of not less than 35% light transmittance on all windows other than the windshield. The bill passed the Senate and is currently in the House Transportation Committee.
