West Virginia Legislature Adjourns

Pro-hobby bills introduced in West Virginia in 2021 failed to pass both houses of the legislature prior to the adjournment of the session.

  • Legislation (H.B. 2950) to create an "Antique Fleet" plate program whereby the owner of five or more antique vehicles would be able to use a single registration plate. The bill passed the House Technology and Infrastructure Committee but failed to pass the House Government Organization Committee.

  • Legislation (S.B. 554) to aid and incentivize the construction of motorsports complexes. The bill passed the Senate Economic Development Committee but failed to pass the Senate Finance Committee.

By rule, each bill is eligible to be reconsidered during next year’s legislative session.

Thank you to everyone who voiced support for these bills.
