You may use the following points in your message:

  • H.B. 877 increases the annual registration fee for pleasure cars from $ 69.00 to $74.00

  • H.B. 877 increases the annual registration fee for exhibition vehicles, used for exhibitions, club activities, parades and not for general transportation from $15.00 to $21.00.

  • H.B. 877 increases the annual registration fee for diesel-powered pleasure cars from $26.00 to $74.00.
  • H.B. 877 increases the annual registration fee for light trailers (1,499 lbs. or less) from $25.00 to $27.00, and the annual registration fee for heavy trailers (1,500 lbs. or more) from $49.00 to $52.00.

Overview: Legislation (H.B. 877) to increase annual fees and taxes has been approved by the full Vermont House.  Among the fee increases are those for registration, administration, plates and titles.  Even seldom-driven exhibition vehicles would see an increase to the annual registration fee. The bill will now be considered by the Senate Finance Committee.
