Overview: Texas has introduced SAN-supported legislation (H.B. 2374 / S.B. 1017) to ensure consumer choice of vehicle power plants and fuel by preventing a county or other local government in the state from limiting access to certain types of power sources.
The SAN believes that Texas residents, not the government, should decide what vehicles are best for them and their families. H.B. 2374 passed the House Committee on State Affairs and now awaits consideration by the full House, while S.B. 1017 passed the Senate and now awaits consideration by the House Committee on State Affairs.
