Texas Legislature Adjourns
The Texas legislature failed to pass SAN-supported legislation (H.B. 1222) to allow the display of only a single, rear-mounted license plate on certain passenger vehicles. Under current law, most vehicles must display two license plates. If passed, an exemption would be provided to Texas’ current requirement for vehicles unable to fasten a front plate “without drilling through the exterior of the vehicle.” The House Committee on Transportation failed to advance the bill prior to the adjournment of the session.
Thank you to everyone who voiced support for this effort.
