UPDATE: Tennessee Advances Bill to Unfairly Toughen Exhaust Noise

Overview: Tennessee advanced SAN-opposed legislation (S.B. 434/ H.B. 769) that states it is unlawful to operate a motor vehicle that is not equipped with a muffler deemed to not be in good working order or if the vehicle produces excessive or unusual or annoying smoke. S.B. 434 will be heard in the Senate Transportation and Safety Committee on March 15th and H.B. 769 is awaiting consideration in the House Transportation Committee.
