Oklahoma Bill to Create Titling for HUMVEES Dies in Committee
Legislation (H.B. 3317) that allows for the titling of High-Mobility Multipurpose Vehicles died in committee. The bill defined a “High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle” or “HMMWV” as a four-wheel drive tactical military vehicle that can carry a wide variety of military hardware, a vehicle more commonly known as a Humvee. Under current law, “HMMWV” vehicles are not able to be titled in the state. This bill passed the House but failed in the Senate Appropriations Committee.
Thank you for voicing support for this legislation.
