Ohio Bill to Require Front Plates Dies as Legislature Adjourns

SAN-opposed legislation (S.B. 179) to require registration plates on the front of all motor vehicles died as the Ohio legislature adjourned its 2019-2020 session.

In 2019, the Ohio legislature passed a bill removing the front plate requirement, which went into effect July 1st, 2020. S.B. 179 would have repealed this victory for enthusiasts and reinstated the front and rear plate requirement.

Thank you and congratulations to those who voiced their opposition to this bill!
