New York to Allow Motorsports to Resume with Fans

Good news! New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that sports and entertainment events in venues with a capacity of 10,000 or more can reopen with limited fans starting February 23. The state is home to over 60 racetracks. Previously, New York residents have had to travel to neighboring states to enjoy racing.

The SAN-supported New York Motorsports Coalition (NYMC), a group comprised of racing facilities across New York, previously submitted a plan to Governor Cuomo to allow motorsports to safely resume with fans statewide.

Performance Racing Industry (PRI) has compiled an up-to-date listing of motorsports’ status in each state. Check out the PRI website to discover whether racing venues in your area are ready to drop the green flag.

Thank you to those who voiced their support on this issue.
