Mississippi Antique License Plate Bill Fails to Meet Legislative Deadline

The Mississippi legislature failed to pass SAN-supported legislation (S.B. 2843) that would have reduced the current one-time fee for antique license plates from $25.00 to $1.25. Antiques are defined as any motor vehicle manufactured more than twenty-five years ago. The Senate Finance Committee failed to advance the bill prior to the required legislative deadline.
