Maryland Legislature Passes Bills to Approve Unfair Exhaust Noise Cameras
DON’T DELAY! Please contact the Governor to request his opposition on these proposals:
Overview: Maryland legislature passed SAN-opposed legislation (H.B. 212/S.B.155) to allow Anne Arundel, Montgomery, and Prince George’s County to enforce motor vehicle noise requirements using sound-activated enforcement devices. Rather than investing in unproven technology, Maryland needs to implement a fair testing procedure and decibel limit for vehicle owners accused of exhaust noise violations.
The bill now awaits final approval or veto by Governor Wes Moore.
