Province of Manitoba Proclaims “Collector Car Appreciation Day” in July 2023

Way to go, Manitoba!  Thanks to the efforts of the Manitoba Association of Auto Clubs (MAAC) and the National Association of Automobile Clubs of Canada (NAACC), the province is once again designating "Collector Car Appreciation Day" (CCAD) on July 9, 2023. Held concurrently, the province is also declaring the month of July as “Automotive Heritage Month.” Manitoba joins several other provinces that have officially recognized the celebration.

Since 2010, the U.S. Congress has introduced resolutions at the request of the SEMA Action Network (SAN) to acknowledge CCAD, which serves to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.  This year’s national celebration is scheduled for Friday, July 14th.

In previous years, thousands of enthusiasts in the U.S and Canada have gathered at car cruises, parades, and other events to celebrate the automotive heritage of each nation.  By taking part in events around their country, these automotive enthusiasts and related businesses have ensured that their passion was honored and recognized.

Make your plans to get involved!  Individuals, car clubs and business owners are officially registering their gatherings—traditional in-person and web-based/virtual—for inclusion on the SAN website.  Please pay tribute to our hobby’s special day by holding or attending a celebration near you.  Encourage others to follow suit.  Let’s get those cars and trucks out of the garage and onto the road!

Whether public or private, plan and submit the details of your celebration at no cost.  You may also download the official logo and flyer from the CCAD homepage and help promote this special day.
