Kentucky Bill to Promote Outdoor Motorized Recreation Approved by Senate Committee

  • H.B. 156 would establish, maintain, and promote a recreational trail system throughout the Kentucky Mountain Regional Recreation Authority (KMRA) to increase economic development, tourism, and outdoor recreation for residents and visitors.
     
  • H.B. 156 would provide recreational opportunities for, among other things, all-terrain vehicle riding, motorcycle riding, rock climbing, off-highway vehicle driving, and pleasure driving.
     

Overview: Legislation (H.B. 156) to promote and fund outdoor recreation and tourism development by establishing the Kentucky Mountain Regional Recreation Authority (KMRA) has been approved by the Kentucky Senate Natural Resources & Energy Committee.  The bill has already been passed by the full House of Representatives and now moves to the Senate Rules Committee for consideration.
