Kansas Introduces Bill to Ease Titling Procedures for Older Antique Vehicles

Overview: Kansas has introduced SAN-supported legislation (H.B. 2595) to allow vehicles registered as “Antique” with a model year of 1960 or earlier to use a bill of sale as proof of ownership. This bill expands antique vehicles eligible for certain titling procedures. Currently, only antique vehicles with a model year of 1950 or earlier can apply for a title using a bill of sale as proof of ownership. The House Transportation Committee is scheduled to hear the bill on February 9th.
