Connecticut Legislature Adjourns
The Connecticut legislature failed to advance SAN-supported legislation in 2023 prior to the adjournment of the session. To follow is a brief summary:
- Legislation (S.B. 592) would have allowed the display of only a single, rear-mounted license plate for all passenger vehicles. Under current law, vehicles must display two license plates.
- Legislation (H.B. 5971) would have allowed composite vehicles to be registered as an “antique, rare or special interest” vehicle. Composite vehicles are defined as any motor vehicle assembled from parts of other motor vehicles or has been modified as not to resemble another motor vehicle.
Thank you to those who voiced support for these bills.
