Overview: California has introduced SAN-opposed legislation (SB 961) to require 50% of new vehicles to be equipped with intelligent speed assistance system starting in model year 2029, increasing to 100% by 2032. Currently, devices that prevent vehicles from exceeding a certain speed are not required.
