Gary Howell of Keyser, West Virginia, began his legislative career in 2011 upon election to the West Virginia House of Delegates. As a SEMA member and owner of Howell Automotive, Gary immediately demonstrated his desire to get involved in keeping the laws in his state hobby-friendly. SEMA SAN Strike Force
“Our 4th Annual National Car Collector Appreciation Day celebration had about 85 vehicles registered and a large number of spectators all afternoon despite threatening rains,” said Cam Stewart, Founder/Director of the Crazy Cruizers Car Club. “We were surprised to have special guest and honorary club member Russ Deane, SEMA's General Counsel, and his '33 Ford Roadster in attendance.”
Founded in June, 2007, the Crazy Cruizers Car Club continues to honor the automotive hobby from its base in Panama City, Florida. Through a friend, they learned of the SEMA Action Network (SAN) and got involved immediately. Once the club received word of the first National Car Collector Appreciation Day in 2010, they were inspired to host an event in their area to celebrate. They have followed suit every year since with an annual gathering commemorating the occasion. Additionally, the group is also part of the Bay County Car Club Coalition (BC4), an organization that “represents the auto enthusiast community in Northwest Florida.” Clubs involved feature an array of vehicle interests, including classics, customs, hot rods, tuners, trucks and even motorcycles. “The Crazy Cruisers and BC4 appreciate all that the SAN does for our hobby,” Cam Stewart explains. “It is obvious that without their help, the hobby would not grow.”
