Dear Automotive Advocate,
Thank you for supporting the SEMA Action Network’s (SAN) mission to defend our beloved automotive community from government overreach.
After careful consideration, SEMA has made the decision to pause involvement with Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD)—which includes requesting resolutions from Congress as well as promotional functions for the national holiday. Given our ambitious legislative agenda, SEMA will dedicate its federal advocacy efforts to achieving its top priorities, including the following:
- Fighting bans on certain powerplants and fuels, such as internal combustion engines (ICE).
- Preserving one’s choice in new vehicle purchases.
- Allowing the rights of repair and modification to vehicles by their owners.
- Providing reasonable motorized recreational access to off-highway public lands.
Of course, the many local recognitions inspired by CCAD that take place each year ensure the spirit carries on.
