Overview: Legislation (H.B. 149/S.B. 493) that would exempt historic military vehicles from the requirement to display license plates has passed the Tennessee legislature. Currently, “historic military vehicles” includes vehicles and trailers twenty-five years or older that were manufactured for use in any country’s military forces and maintained to represent the vehicle’s military design and markings. The bill now goes to Governor Lee for enactment into law.
