South Dakota Historic Vehicle Bill Signed into Law

South Dakota Historic Vehicle Bill Signed into Law

Legislation (H.B. 1117) allowing Historic vehicles to display a single license plate for certain vehicle model years has been signed into law by Governor Dennis Daugaard. Currently, a “historic car” is a motor vehicle more than thirty years old and is not used for daily transportation.  The new law also sets the mileage limit for vehicles with historic plates at 4,000 miles per year.

Thank you to those who participated in supporting this bill.
