New Hampshire Bill to Include Older Trucks as Antiques Approved by Senate; Moves to Governor

Legislation (H.B. 260) to include trucks over 25-years old (regardless of weight) in the definition of eligible “Antique Motor Vehicles” was approved by the full New Hampshire Senate. Having already been approved by the House, the bill will now be sent to the governor for her signature and enactment into law.

We Urge You to Contact Governor Maggie Hassan (Contact Info Below) Immediately to Request Support for H.B. 260

  • H.B. 260 provides the option for older trucks to take advantage of the many accommodations available to antique motor vehicles.

  • Under New Hampshire law, antique motor vehicles pay a minimal registration fee.  In addition, antiques are only inspected every 2 years, can use year of manufacture license plates and are exempted from certain equipment requirements.

  • Antique motor vehicles may be used in exhibitions, club activities, parades and other functions of public interest.
