Province of Alberta Declares Collector Car Appreciation Day

Thanks to the efforts of the Specialty Vehicle Association of Alberta (SVAA), the province of Alberta once again declared Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD) this year on July 10, 2020.  Alberta joins several other provinces that have officially recognized the celebration.

Earlier this year, the U.S. Congress introduced two resolutions recognizing July 10 as “Collector Car Appreciation Day.”  Requested by the SEMA Action Network (SAN), these resolutions acknowledge the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.  The date marked the 11th commemoration of what has become an annual event.

Special thanks to the thousands of enthusiasts that gathered at car cruises, parades and other events to celebrate our automotive heritage this summer.  By taking part in special events, these automotive enthusiasts and related businesses have ensured that their passion was honored and recognized.
