Province of Alberta Declares Collector Car Appreciation Day

Thanks to the efforts of the Specialty Vehicle Association of Alberta (SVAA), the Minister of Service Alberta Nate Glubish issued a declaration observing July 12, 2019, as Collector Car Appreciation Day in the province.  The Minister also acknowledged that the month of July 2019 is being celebrated as “Automotive Heritage Month” across Canada.  Alberta joins several other provinces that have officially recognized the celebration.

Earlier this year, the U.S. Congress introduced resolutions recognizing “Collector Car Appreciation Day” at the request of the SEMA Action Network (SAN).  Each Congressional resolution acknowledges the day’s significance in raising awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.  The date marked the tenth commemoration in what has become an annual event.

Special thanks to the thousands of enthusiasts in the U.S and Canada that gathered at car cruises, parades and other events to celebrate each nation’s automotive heritage.  By taking part in events around North America, these automotive enthusiasts and related businesses have ensured that their passion was honored and recognized.  Visit the homepage for the official event list and more information: semaSAN.com/CCAD.
