Unfair Inoperable Vehicle Bill in Alabama Fails

Alabama H.B. 152 would have given municipalities and counties the authority to adopt procedures for the abatement and removal of inoperable vehicles that they deemedto be a nuisance. This legislationthreatened to make it impossible for hobbyists to restore or modify a vehicle or keep a parts car on their own property. The bill was particularly menacing because it would have let the counties and municipalities make subjective judgements about what constituted a nuisance vehicle. Thanks to all who wrote their legislators tooppose thislegislation which posed an extreme threat to the hobby in Alabama.
